Vision:

A revolution will come by Youths to raise, develop and maintain an awareness of issues affecting.

Mission:

Promoting youth’s personal and social development, and their voice, influence and place in society. Works to improve and extend youth services and youth work; to increase youth participation in society; and to promote effective youth policy and provision.Raise, develop and maintain an awareness of issues affecting Mithila, Maithili and Maithil.

YOM’s objectives are to:

• Take action and establish partnerships that promote new developments in work with young people in rural areas of Mithila.

• Monitor and seek to influence any initiatives taken by statutory, independent and voluntary organisations and services, government bodies, business and charitable sponsors relating to young people in rural areas ensuring they consider the rural dimension.

• Encourage and work with organisations and individuals to research, evaluate and write about their practice and seek means whereby these can be published and disseminated.

• Promote and/or organise any events or processes that facilitate training opportunities or exchange of practice with and for young people, practitioners and policy makers.

• Ensure that all action that YOM takes to address the needs, issues, concerns and aspirations of young people in rural areas will be governed by the principles of social justice and equality of opportunity.

YOM believes that:

• All youths are entitled to an equal opportunity to enable them to reach their full potential.

• Youths of Mithila have unique needs that should be taken into account.

• Youths of Mithila should be given a platform to express their views and be directly involved in matters that affect them.

• Youths Of Mithila can make a significant contribution to the communities they live in and those communities have a responsibility to support and encourage this contribution.

YOM is committed to achieving the following goals:

• An equitable and sufficient encouragement to enabling them to find an identity and enhance their social and personal development through education, training or employment.
